The objectives of Mazars Internships & Summer Schools are to encourage extracurricular activity; to facilitate the development of young students of the Academy of Economic Studies - Bucharest, Romania; to encourage collaboration with consultancy firms, exploring the meaning of audit / tax / accounting / payroll jobs; to recruit.
Terms: the program is performed between December – January, for one month. The recruitment and selection for the internship shall take place in October and November and is performed with the help of ASCIG.
The participants are students willing to apply in practice the theories studied in faculty and willing to choose a career in audit after graduating the faculty. There are approximately ten vacant positions. A prior selection is done with the help of ASCIG – ASE organization that posts the information on ASCIG site and makes a pre-selection for Mazars.
Content: the practice program starts with training for stocktaking and continues with the practical activity at performing the stocktaking. Therefore, the students have the opportunity to work at one of the sections of an audit job, meaning the inventories.
Selection criteria: student in a senior year or master students at an economic faculty, very good knowledge of accounting and English & Romanian language, curiosity, analysis, very good written and verbal communication.
Candidates’ benefits: during the training the students work on one of the financial audit activities sections, on the inventory and relate with the audit team. The candidates can make a general idea on the financial audit and the extent to which this is appropriate for them. This is a paid internship. They can become candidates for the jobs the company is to open during the following season. Following the internships Mazars may hire 1-2 persons / session, depending on the results and on the department’s needs.

Terms: throughout the year, depending on the students’ requests and on the possibility of the concerned department to sustain the professional training during that period of time.

Content: practical activity, students have the opportunity to work in one of the company’s departments.
Selection criteria: student in a senior year or master students at an economic faculty, very good knowledge of accounting, English & Romanian language, curiosity, analysis, very good written and verbal communication.
Candidates’ benefits: during the training the students work and learn on-the-job details about the consultancy activity. The candidates can make a general idea on the financial audit / tax advisory / accounting & payroll and the extent to which a career in the concerned field is appropriate for them. Moreover, they can become candidates for the jobs the company is to open during the following season.

Terms: the program is performed in June-July of each year, for two weeks. The recruitment and selection for the Summer School shall start at the job fair "Angajatori de Top" or with an instant application and shall last until the end of July.
The participants are candidates for the junior positions within the audit, tax and outsourcing (accounting & payroll) departments, being previously selected by specific tests and interviews. There are maximum 20 vacant positions for the Summer School, out of which there will be selected juniors for the 10-15 open positions of the 3 departments.
Content: Summer School includes audit, tax and accounting training, both theoretically and practically, and final testing in mixed form (grill, descriptive and interview). The final selection of the candidates is done depending on the results obtained at tests and interviews and depending on their preferences, expressed during the summer school. The participants may opt for a career coaching at the end of the program, whether they are invited to join a team or not.

Candidates’ benefits: during the training the candidates meet employees from different departments and understand the specific of each team’s activity; thus, they can change the initial option. Moreover, they can rethink their career strategy.
E.g.: In 2010 out of 14 participants Mazars hired 9 (5 in audit, 2 in taxes and 2 in accounting).
