Seminar&Workshop: New tax provisions for 2012 - Mazars - Romania

As 2011 came to an end and 2012 has barely started, the Romanian tax legislation went through a series of substantial changes. With the aim of helping you comprehend the full range of changes and their impact on your company, we are delighted to invite you to attend the seminar organized by Mazars, on 9 March 2012.

The seminar shall focus on certain aspects which could prove useful in reducing the potential risks associated with the faulty application of the laws and regulations in force. Consequently, our seminar intends to walk you through the main changes in the field of taxation which take effect in 2012. The seminar shall discuss issues such as:

• How do we report the corporate income tax for 2011 and 2012, respectively?
• The steps to be followed as regards the procedure for the reimbursement of overpaid tax, in the case of non-resident tax payers
• The tax increase as regards the buildings which have not been reevaluated
• New tax provisions concerning transactions with receivables and their implications for VAT purposes
• VAT adjustment as regards investments not yet finalized
• The dilemma of how to tax the revenues of authorized natural persons (PFA)The presentation and debates will take place in the Romanian language.

The first session of our seminar shall include a short presentation (in English) given by our colleague, Paul Giglio - Partner, Head of Tax, Mazars in Malta. He shall present to you the opportunities offered by the Maltese system insofar as tax structuring is concerned.
