Florentina Anton - Audit Assistant

My professional experience starts with Mazars, where I applied for a junior position. Establishing a work-life balance can often be a real challenge for any of us.

For me, prioritizing tasks means a clear, daily routine, in which I alternate the hours spent at the office with my personal life. As we all know, work plays an important role in our lives. I maintain my balance through a job that I consider ideal and through various relaxation techniques that I resonate with.

The ideal job I found makes me happy and gives me the chance to demonstrate my skills and the possibility to improve them, and when we do things we believe in, work becomes more beautiful and in my personal time, I apply techniques that resonate with me: closing the day by doing sports, reading, shopping and going out with friends.

At Mazars there is nothing monotonous because you work on several projects, with several managers, seniors, juniors so that you have the chance to know most of your colleagues. It was a pleasant experience to go to the inventories, because it was my best chance to understand the whole process of knowing the respective companies.

Another aspect that I would like to point out would be the peak period of the audit which is really busy, but it was not a stress for me because in the Mazars team I had people open to help me.

When a team has a leader, excellent results will be swift to appear. A good mentor makes your career flourish through support and guidance, (s)he is the one who listens to all opinions, observes the strengths and encourages you to develop the improvement areas. Looking back, things work much better when everyone on the team is looking in the same direction. The principle is to be better today than yesterday and better tomorrow than today.

For this, the company offers growth opportunities, regardless of the professional level at which you joined the team, providing coaching programs, mentoring, trainings and specialized courses for the development of new skills and adaptation to market changes.

Mazars thinks of employees and never wants to leave their extra work unpaid. Another advantage during the pandemic was that it was free to work, at home or in the office. Working time is flexible, giving us a balance between professional and personal life. Although we socialize with members of the audit teams, Mazars management organizes "Happy Friday" meetings every month with the idea of relaxing and getting to know each other much better.

If I were to send a message to potential or future colleagues, it would be to dare to apply to Mazars, not to be afraid of the unknown, to be curious, to ask questions. Everything is learned if there is a will.
